Mugison - Mugiboogie 2007
Iceland’s Mugison may be considered a modern-day Frank Zappa. This one-man band boasts an eclectic style that ranges from blues-based alternative rock to stoner, doom-metal sludgery. At times, MUGIBOOGIE bears a resemblance to quirky, Beck-like fringe rock; at others, it veers off to Mr. Bungle’s sanitarium-styled schizo-metal, all of it draped in a soul-funky exterior. With a vocal style that sounds like a strait-jacketed Steven Tyler, Mugison’s brilliant musicianship tries to contain the manic psychodrama within. It's simply amazing that all this cacophony originates from the mind of one person. AMG.listen hereBuy @ Amazon:
